Job left behind

I recently quit my job, and I am glad I did. Many people thought I was crazy for quiting, but working for an organizaion that misstreats their employees is not an organization I could any longer work for. Many companies in this country do not ralize that an oranizations labor is its capital, therefore they believe they have a right to abuse their workforce. We wonder why this country is in such an economic crunch. Happy wife happy life! Happy workforce successful buisness!

I see now

Being in management for over twenty five years, then returning to school in persuit of my education in I/O Psychology has given me great insight into American organizaiontions' dysfunctions. Having the ability to work as a subordinate while going to school has givien me some great insights into why many American companies are failing, and it is not economics driving this failure!

Introduction

I am an experienced counseling professional and manager with a Bachelor’s degree which includes minors’ in Communications and Organizational Psychology, and I am currently pursuing advanced degree in Organizational Psychology/Human Resources. I am a hard-working professional with more than two decades of experience in high-level management. As a leader, I focus intensely on the Mission and Vision of the organization I work for while improving organizational policies and procedures. I have had two long term careers before returning to school and acquiring my Bachelor of Science Degree, and beginning my current work toward my Masters Degree in the fields of Organizational Psychology and Human Resources. My first long term career was that of management within the Petro Chemical Industry where I spent over twenty years. My other long term career was that of a Program Director at a RTC (Residential Treatment Center) where I spent over twelve years. Throughout my over thirty years in leadership positions, my focus has always remained on TQM. I believe in leadership that is both task- and goal-oriented, but that also focuses on relationship building and organizational success. Within my twelve years as a Program Director I was also the facility P.A.R.T. (Professional Assault Response Training) trainer. In my function as a P.A.R.T. instructor, I focused subordinates on their communication skills, enabling the organization to exceed California state standards. I believe in those shared values of: quality services, respect for individuals, and attention to relationships and organizational-building, coupled with a synergistic culture and interdependency. With an ongoing focus on constant and never ending improvement whether in personal accomplishments or in organizational successes.
